Photorejuvenation

The natural consequences of aging on our skin include sun damage, freckles, age spots, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and redness caused by broken capillaries and rosacea. Photorejuvenation reduces these signs of aging using non-invasive, painless pulses of light. Treatments can also improve the appearance of birthmarks and uneven pigmentation and stimulate the production of collagen. There is no recovery time and low risk of complications. Multiple sessions of about 20 minutes each are performed every few weeks until the desired result has been achieved.

BOTOX®

BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® is an injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial fat loss by replacing lost volume. Facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, is the loss of fat beneath the skin, which can result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Sculptra provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.The results from Sculptra are not immediate but they are long-lasting. In a clinical study, effects lasted for up to two years after the first treatment session in most patients. No skin testing is required.

Radiesse™

Radiesse™ is an injectable filler that is made from one of the building blocks our bodies use to make bone.  It reduces wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting the body’s natural collagen supply. Because Radiesse is made from the same minerals found in our bones, it carries little risk of allergic reaction. Radiesse can be used on many areas of the body, including around the eyes, to fill in depressed scars and as a method to provide more volume to the cheeks.  It is also used to enlarge the chin and cheeks, preventing complicated and costly cosmetic surgery for many. 

Treatments typically take 15 minutes and require only local anesthetic. Side effects such as swelling or bruising are minimal and should fade within a few days. Results are visible immediately after the injection and can last for months or years, although the procedure can be repeated as often as you wish.

Juvederm™

Touted as the "next generation" of facial fillers, Juvéderm™ injectable gels gently smooth wrinkles and folds around the mouth and nose and restore a youthful volume to the face Ultra and Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus use a more advanced, cross-linked formula containing hyaluronic acid -- an important structural component of normal skin--for the correction of moderate to severe wrinkles or folds in the mid- to deep dermis.

Treatment takes only 15 minutes with immediate results and no downtime. Results typically last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection.

Restylane®

Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. The particles scrape away the surface layer of aging or damaged skin, which is then brushed off with the microdermabrasion vacuum tool with no need for anesthesia. Only a small amount of skin is removed, so sensitive areas such as the face, chest, neck, arms and hands can be treated. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible.

Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove damaged outer layers of skin on the face to smooth texture, reduce scarring, and remove blemishes to produce healthy, glowing skin. There are three types of chemical peels, ranging from mild to strong – alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), tricholoroacetic acid (TCA) and phenol – and formula strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as facelifts for a younger look. They may be covered by insurance if they are performed for medical rather than cosmetic reasons.

Facials

As we age, the rate at which our skin sheds and replenishes itself slows down. This leaves a layer of dead cells on the surface of the skin, contributing to an aged appearance. Facial peels help exfoliate the damaged layer to reveal the younger, healthier skin beneath. Made of natural fruit and plant extracts, essential oils, vitamins, collagen, elastin or other ingredients, facials are a faster and gentler alternative to laser resurfacing. Applied in a series of 15- to 20-minute treatments over several weeks, facials reduce the signs of aging and can also improve skin conditions such as acne, dry or oily skin, and uneven texture or pigmentation. Peel strengths and formulas are tailored to each patient for optimal results.

The Titan ™ is a safe, non-surgical procedure that uses an infrared light source to tighten skin and reverse the signs of aging. The Titan ™ device uniformly distributes heat below the skin, causing collagen contraction, while preserving the outer layer of skin through continuous cooling. This process stimulates long-term collagen rebuilding, leaving patients with younger-looking skin. The procedure tones, lifts and tightens skin on the face and neck and can be used to treat lax, loose or wrinkled skin throughout the body—including the abdomen, thighs and arms. The result is a more youthful, fresh complexion and long-lasting, tighter skin without injections, surgery or recovery time.

The Titan™ is cleared for treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperature and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles.

Pearl Laser

The Pearl Laser is Advanced DermCare’s newest resurfacing laser.  This state of the art laser is useful in treating wrinkles, sun damage, uneven skin texture and acne scarring.  It has been approved by the FDA for treatment of wrinkles.  The Pearl laser requires much less ‘down time’ than traditional resurfacing lasers so you can go back to the things you like to do much faster.  Most patients find that their down time is only 3-4 days with the Pearl, as compared with 10 or more days with other laser treatments.   The Pearl delivers heat deep into the layers of the skin and may actually help to strengthen the collagen that provides structure and firmness to the skin.
