Pearl Fractional
Ideal for the treatment of photodamaged skin, acne scarring and deep wrinkles, the Pearl Fractional laser works by stimulating dermal remodeling while minimizing downtime. This is accomplished by using a unique laser wavelength (2790 nm, YSGG technology) with strong water absorption, scanned in a regular, dot-like pattern that treats one “fraction” of skin while sparing other areas. Skipped areas allow for a rapid healing time (generally within a week), while the treated areas stimulate the body’s natural healing process, replacing damaged collagen with denser, newer bundles that create a tighter, healthier appearance to your skin.
Since the Pearl Fractional laser creates deep dermal heating, it is an ideal treatment for deeper wrinkles and acne scarring, and can be used for local (e.g. around the mouth or eyes) or widespread facial rejuvenation. The treatment yields both immediate and long-term tissue tightening, with full skin healing generally seen within one week of treatment.
The Pearl Fractional laser treatment is done as an outpatient procedure, using a combination of local anesthesia techniques. Your dermatologist will review important before and after care instructions with you during an initial consultation visit, and may recommend that the Pearl Fractional laser be combined with other laser or topical therapies to give you the best possible cosmetic results.

Dysport®
Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxina) is an FDA-approved non-surgical treatment for facial wrinkles, available in Europe since 1991 and recently introduced to the U.S. cosmetic market. Currently, Dysport® is approved to treat facial wrinkles in 23 countries. Similar to other forms of botulinum toxin type A, Dysport® works by blocking the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, thereby producing temporary facial muscle relaxation. This action improves the appearance of wrinkles that deepen with facial motion such as frown lines (glabellar rhytids). In contrast to other forms of botulinum toxin such as Botox, which may take up to a week to work, Dysport® produces muscle relaxation within 1 to 2 days of injection, and may last for up to 6 months. The procedure usually takes only minutes to perform. As with Botox®, mild side effects may include local bruising, numbness, swelling or a burning sensation during injection.
Please contact your Advanced Dermcare physician if you would like to learn more about Dysport®, or visit www.dysport.com.
Latisse®
Advanced Dermcare now offers Latisse® (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% -- the first FDA-approved treatment for thin eyelashes. Latisse® produces visible eyelash lengthening, thickening, and darkening within months of the first application. This simple, self-administered treatment is only available through prescription, and requires nightly application along the eyelid skin at the base of the upper eyelashes. Although results may vary, eyelash thickening typically occurs gradually over a 12 to 16 week period. Latisse® must be used nightly to maintain eyelash thickening.

Hydrelle™
Hydrelle™ is a new, injectable dermal filler that is FDA-approved for the treatment of moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles, such as those found in the nasolabial folds. In contrast to other hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane® or JUVÉDERM®, Hydrelle™ syringes are pre-mixed with a local anesthetic (0.3% lidocaine), which greatly improves patient comfort during injection. Hydrelle contains the highest commercially available concentration of cross-linked, non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA), yielding long-lasting results of up to one year or more. In contrast to some older fillers such as bovine collagen, hyaluronic acid gels rarely cause allergic reactions.
