Dr. Michael Jacobson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania before he earned his medical degree summa cum laude from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Jacobson completed dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and is a board certified dermatologist. After practicing for several years, Dr. Jacobson completed an additional rigorous one-year fellowship in Procedural Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at SUNY Downstate. He is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery .

Dr. Jacobson’s clinical interests and expertise include the diagnosis and management of skin cancer. Dr. Jacobson prides himself in making sure that patients understand thoroughly their skin cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis. He strongly believes the time spent with each individual patient creates a trusting and healthy doctor-patient relationship.

Academically, Dr. Jacobson has authored scientific articles and book chapters. In addition, he has lectured on and taught surgical techniques to dermatology residents.
